Ethereal Counterbalance #4

Ethereal Counterbalance's latest outing was on the 18th November 2000.  Rod was ably supported by Ade Shaw (Bevis Frond, Hawkwind, etc.), Mick Crossley (Flyte Reacton), Paul Simmons (The Alchemysts), & Andy Ward (Bevis Frond, Camel, etc.) !!
The "Valedictory Gig" as it was known was an All-Dayer at the increasingly high-profile 'Standard' Music Venue in Walthamstow London.

Also on the bill were; The Alchemysts, The Lucky Bishops, Bevis Frond, Bari Watts & the (original) Outskirts Of Infinity, Mick Crossley's Flyte Reaction, Tony Hill (High Tide, Misunderstood), Pat Orchard, Earth Below and Tea For The Wicked. The gig was, as its name suggests, a farewell-for-now gig on behalf of the Bevis Frond Band.

Ethereal Counterbalance played only one piece "Falling Leaves", based on an old Magic Muscle 'happening' but rearranged as a 'get well soon ...HEAL' mantra for old pal Adrian Shaw, who was then about to embark on a course of special treatment soon after this gig.

Is there more to come from this fine band? There is a rumour that a third Ethereal Counterbalance album is due to be released on Woronzow, as soon as Rod can summon the strength to spend a concerted amount of time in the London recording studio. You, dear friends, will be the FIRST to know when the album is completed.
